I’ll Read these Books while waiting for Season Two of “Severance”

Last weekend, I finished the Season One of “Severance”. I haven’t watched series for a while, but guys, “Severance” really got me. Awesome plot and deep storylines, reminding me the good old day sci-fi books. The final episode really left me craving for Season two, it’s painful.

So I binged watched a hell lot of youtube videos disucssion about the plot and characters. Then I came across a Reddit thread “Books like Severance”, finding out I’m not alone. Everyone wants more!

I went through the thread and picked up some books that are highly recommended. So, Here’re the books I plan to read in the following months (while waiting, patiently, for season two)

  1. Severance” by Ling Ma
  2. “Stories of Your Life and Others” by Ted Chiang
  3. Permutation City” by Greg Egan – some people say it won’t be a coincidence that the Lumon family is named “Egan”
  4. 14” by Peter Clines
  5. Time Out of Joint” by Philip K. Dick – it’s said that everything written by Philip Dick won’t go wrong, let’s try it

I’m actually surprised this would be my first article on the website. Anyway, I hope to build a place where I can brain dump all my thoughts, books I’m reading (and planning to read), and things I’m doing right now. Like a diary, but in public.
